Introduction courses are offered over 3 days (9-4pm/18 hours) or 6 evenings (6-9pm/18hours). A progression from the taster session or for those who know which process and skill set they would like to develop.

Course Details:

• A 60-minute knowledge session covering the basic principles of MAG welding and weld geometry and terminology.
• Workshop induction
• Setup of welding machine and related equipment
• 3mm Carbon steel sheet
  • Course outcome 1: Single run tee fillet in the PA position
  • Course outcome 2: single run tee fillet in the PB position
  • Course outcome 3: Single run lap joint in the PB position
  • Course outcome 4: Single run open corner in the PA position

• In-house certificate awarded upon successful completion of the program
• Progression onto the introduction to MMA or TIG welding course or intermediate MAG welding course
