Intermediate in MAG welding is offered over 3 days (9-4pm/18 hours) or evenings 6 evening (6-9pm/18hours). Progression from the introduction package or for those who know which process they would like to enhance their skills from beginner to intermediate level.

Course Details:

• A 60-minute knowledge session covering the fundamentals of MIG/MAG welding, auxiliary equipment and consumables
• Workshop induction
• Setup of welding machine and related equipment
• 5mm Carbon steel plate
  • Course outcome 1: multi run tee fillet in the PB position
  • Course outcome 2: multi run open corner in the PA position
  • Course outcome 3: multi run open corner in the PA position
  • Course outcome 4: multi run tee fillet in the PD position
  • Course outcome 5: multi run tee fillet in the PF position

• Welds are visually checked against BS EN 4872-1
• In-house certificate awarded upon successful completion of the program
• Progression onto the intermediate FCAW, TIG or MMA welding course or intensive MAG or FCAW welding course
