Intensive MAG or MMA or TIG welding is offered over 5 days (9-4pm/30hours) and is a steppingstone from intermediate level or for those individuals who are confidant and proficient in basic welding techniques looking to accelerate their skills to the next level in their chosen process (MMA/MAG/TIG).

Course Details:

• A 60-minute knowledge session covering welding imperfections, NDT & DT methods
• Workshop induction
• Setup of welding machine and related equipment
• 5mm Carbon steel plate
  • Course outcome 1: multi run tee fillet in the PB position
  • Course outcome 2: multi run open corner in the PA position
  • Course outcome 3: multi run open corner in the PA position
  • Course outcome 4: multi run tee fillet in the PD position
  • Course outcome 5: multi run tee fillet in the PF position
  • Course outcome:6 plate butt in the PF position
  • Course outcome 7: plate butt in the PC position

• Welds are visually checked and tested against BS EN 4872-1
• In-house certificate awarded upon successful completion of the program
• Progression onto another intensive welding course for an alternative process
